Learn how computers really work.

Three small games about the layer underneath your code: bits, registers and memory. They run right here in your browser, keep your progress on your own device, and take a few minutes each.

R is for

Register

Tiny CPU. Write real assembly for a toy 8-bit chip and watch every register change as it runs.

You'll pick up: MOV, ADD, loops, jumps, shifts, masks and the stack.

B is for

Bits

Bit Flip. Eight lamps, eight rounds. Flip them to hit a number, a hex value or a negative byte.

You'll pick up: binary, hex, two’s complement, NOT, shifts and OR.

P is for

Pointer

Pointer Chase. Memory is a row of numbered boxes. Follow the trail of pointers to the value at the end.

You'll pick up: addresses, pointers, chains of pointers and little-endian.
